Our publication on BrainBike shuttles is out!

Actualizado: 22 dic 2023

We are thrilled to announce the new paper of our group published at RSC Chemical Biology! We describe a new family of bicyclic peptide shuttles, BrainBikes, which enable efficient transport of proteins across brain endothelium.

M Lucana, R Lucchi, F Gosselet, C Díaz-Perlas, B Oller-Salvia. BrainBike peptidomimetic enables efficient transport of proteins across brain endothelium. RSC Chemical Biology. 2024, DOI: 10.1039/D3CB00194F.

We demonstrated that BrainBikes increase transport of proteins, including antibody derivatives, in a human cell-based model of the blood–brain barrier.

Congratulations to Maria C. Lucana for her first authored experimental paper, as well as to Roberta Lucchi, Fabien Gosselet, Cristina Díaz and Benjamí Oller, who also participated in the study.
